Something The Entire World Should See – Most Of Us Are Simply Unaware

North East of Hawaii, the ocean currents form a giant whirl pool of debris from around the Pacific, the scientific name is called the North Pacific Gyre. It’s one of the largest ecosystems on Earth, comprising of millions of square kilometres.
Today it’s better known as “The Great Garbage Patch,” an area the size of Queensland, Australia where there is approximately one million tonnes of plastic spread throughout the ocean. Drag a net in any area of this part of the ocean and you will pick up toxic, discarded plastic.
Photographer Chris Jordan has documented this phenomenon.
I had been studying for quite a while the phenomenon called the Pacific garbage patch. I was looking for a way to visualize it, it was really surreal to land on Midway, seeing that my worst hopes of what I would find there are true. These are all albatross chicks, hatched out of their eggs and the very first meal they got was deadly to them. What happens is, when the eggs hatch one of the parents goes out and flies looking for food. They search over this vast area of the pacific and when they come back with is a belly full of toxic plastics, and they feed that to their babies. They die of starvation, malnutrition and chocking. Simply allow yourself to feel whatever it is you feel about this, without jumping to the way to solve it. Because I think we really need to feel these things, even if the feelings are uncomfortable, because those are the feelings that will turn into the fuel and drive passionate action – Chris Jordan
The desire to change these things will put the human race on a journey to do so, and we are in the midst of it. Ultimately it is our choice as to whether or not we take the time to educate ourselves about our choices and begin doing things in a manner that cares for our environment and home more than our materialistic needs.
What can we do about this problem now? As much as possible, support eco-friendly products. Avoid being wasteful and purchasing new products each time a new version comes out simply so we can be up to date with the latest greatest. Create awareness about this issue and pass it onto your friends and family. Awareness has been key in changing various aspects of our world and so often we give it little credit. It is much more powerful than we think.

How to Speak so Others Listen

Sound is a powerful vibration and our words carry weight.  The meaning behind our words can change how people will hear them and react.  What can you do to change how people hear you?

As we step back and observe our speech we have all had times where we have used one or more of these ‘sins of speech’.  Perhaps with awareness and effort we will be able to shift our speech into a powerful and positive light so that other people around us want to hear us and connect on a deeper level.

good-thoughts-words-deedsWhat you say is also how you say it.  As we are transparent, full of love, true to ourselves, and follow through with what we say, we will resonate more with the people around us.
One of the biggest secrets to speech, connecting to others and manifesting what we want in life is to make sure what we mean lines up with what we say.  Say what you mean and mean what you say.  It seems simple but most people hide what they really mean or want.
Say what you really think or feel, with love and awareness for the people around you, then act upon what you say.  This simple formula carries vibrations from thought, to word, then finally to manifestation.

Ghosts: Are our beliefs manifesting them?

This is a photograph of The Brown Lady of Raynham Hall -  considerably the most famous ghost picture taken to date. I remember seeing it all throughout my childhood while perusing around the internet.The-Brown-Lady-of-Raynham-Hall-urban-legends-234828_1020_1336
About a year ago I found out these are my ancestors.
I’m directly related to  Charles Townshend, the Secretary of State for the British foreign policy during the early 1700′s.
My great, great grandma on my dad’s side shares the same last name.
The lineage goes back through thousands of people, so who knows you could be related too! It’s not entirely inconceivable, I mean at some point we all come from the same source, right?
This picture was taken in Raynham Hall in Norfolk, England in 1936 by photographers from Country Life magazine.
The Brown Lady of Raynham is the ghost of Lady Townshend who’s maiden name was Dorothy Walpole before marrying Charles Townshend. Supposedly, he was well known for having a horribly fiery temper.
When Charles learned that his wife was cheating on him, he punished her by imprisoning her in the family estate. He never allowed her to leave its premises, not even to see her children. She remained there until her death in 1726 from smallpox.
Over the next two centuries Lady Townshend’s ghost was repeatedly sighted wandering through Raynham Hall, suggesting that she never left its premises even after her death.

Indre Shira and Captain Provand, the photographers who snapped the infamous shot accounted for their experience:
“Captain Provand took one photograph while I flashed the light. He was focusing for another exposure; I was standing by his side just behind the camera with the flashlight pistol in my hand, looking directly up the staircase. All at once I detected an ethereal veiled form coming slowly down the stairs. Rather excitedly, I called out sharply: ‘Quick, quick, there’s something.‘ I pressed the trigger of the flashlight pistol.
After the flash and on closing the shutter, Captain Provand removed the focusing cloth from his head and turning to me said: ‘What’s all the excitement about?’”
When they developed the picture they found that they had captured the image of a ghostly woman drifting down the stairs.
522133There have been so many attempts over the years to debunk this phenomena. Many say this picture was faked with a double exposure.
That makes perfect sense if these photographers just wanted to have some content to publish in their magazine.
It also makes sense that they were able to catch a moment of our dimensional veils thinning!

Take into account back then, and centuries before this, people were much more superstitious and had open minds to paranormal experiences.
When we realize our realities are projections of what we allow into our belief systems, back then, peoples beliefs systems were much broader.big_thumb_4d874afbaf431668b6dabf0f1ff9cbd4
There have been countless  spirit encounters that people truly believed happened, and thats maybe why they did. They believed in these experiences so much that they were able to see into the next.
To view this from source perspective, the idea of a ghost is not strange or impossible, it’s just energy manifested in a form of what we’ve labelled as ‘ghosts.’
We’ve entered what is called the era of disbelief. There are SO many fake ghost, UFO and alien pictures. But there’s also many, many real ones.
We’ve been bombarded with false photos and videos – just don’t know what to believe anymore. Discerning the real from the fake takes time and trusting your inner feelings.
If we are all infinite beings of light having a physical experience, the existence of ghosts is simply not a hoax. When our belief systems open up, we understand nothing is impossible.
The intention behind this article is to not necessarily to make you question if all this is real or not – but rather open a discussion on what you think and where your beliefs lead you.
What’s your gut feeling on this?  If you’re skeptical about it – really ask yourself why. You might be surprised where those questions lead you.

The Science Of Auras & Energy

Kirlian-Photography

Kirlian photography is an amazing technique for creating print photographs that essentially show an objects aura!
The discoverer of this technique, Seymond Kirlian was a Russian electrician and maintenance man at his local hospital.
In 1939 he constructed an unusual device that places a sheet photographic film on top of a metal discharge plate that uses high voltage to create an exposure of an image.
The first thing he photographed was his own hand! When he developed the picture, he saw a glow emanating from his finger tips.
He tried this experiment on many different objects, and what he found was ASTOUNDING!
From Online Gallery: Kirlian Photography
He started to experiment on a freshly picked leaf. When the film developed, it had a bright aura around it as if it were fully alive and functional.
When he measured the same leaf a few days later, the aura had a much dimmer aura, but it still glowed.
The energy emitting from the plant would lessen as the days went on. This right here is amazing evidence of the energy (auras) that exist all around us.
If that’s not the most amazing part: If you cut off the tip of a leaf right before it was experimented on, there was still an energy outline of it being there! As if it were never cut at all! It was only days later that the leaf actually appeared cut. The aura took a far longer time to fade away because the geometry of the leaf still existed energetically.
It was reported that the glow of the leafs aura would intensify as a human hand approached it, as if the energy off the two were merging.
He went on to experiment on coins which ended up having a much dimmer aura altogether. This example proves that objects that are alive are producing much more energy.
Alessandra-dopoOn a human hand, if the person was ill or worried, the auras were blurry and disorganized.
If they were in good health, the brightness was sharp and more visible.
This says so much about how our thoughts and state of being effect us on so many levels we can’t visibly see.
The pictures created from this machine are not only immensely interesting and demonstrate the ways energy emits itself – they are absolutely stunning!

Scientific Study Reveals “Conspiracy Theorists” Are The Most Sane Of All

1573355_the-illuminati_jpeg890495712403ec5fef85b53b0a65a1ab

I was so happy to finally see a study done on the psychology of conspiracy beliefs.  It goes through the importance of belief systems in the acceptance or rejection of ‘conspiracy theories.’
If you consider yourself awakened and seeking the truth – especially in government matters, people are quick to label you a crazy conspiracy theorist just so they can validate themselves.
In this study, a large group of commenters were examined on a news website, surrounding the topic of 9/11. Out of the 2174 comments collected, 1459 were coded as conspiracist and 715 as conventionalist. Right away its evident more people are thinking critically about ‘conspiracies’ rather than just disputing them.
What they found was that conspiracist commenters were more likely to argue against the opposing interpretation and less likely to argue in favor of their own interpretation, while the opposite was true of conventionalist commenters.
5137060+_12050d8db6e66431feaf82b91ffb1a8e
In other words, the anti-conspiracy commenters we’re pushing on their own interpretations of the situation rather than focusing on what really happened.
The conspiracists were more likely to express mistrust and made more positive and fewer negative references.
They focused more on the points of what happened, rather than putting the other people down.
The data also indicated that conspiracists were largely unwilling to apply the “conspiracy theory” label to their own beliefs.
They realized that label carries a negative social stigma and there is no need to plaster on these labels when trying to decode the truth.
The most important part of this study found that the conventionalist arguments tended to be much more hostile. This is apparent all over the internet, people who are trying to spread truth and awareness usually aren’t mean about it.images
When people refute these ideas, it seems to always be much more aggressive. They want to push their conventional mentality so they don’t have to broaden their minds.
People who want you to truly open your mind to new possibilities do it in a way that isn’t forceful and demanding.
Seeking truth happens on your own means so people who are labelled as conspiracy theorists are just trying to help awaken our world. Being considered a ‘conspiracy theorist’ is truly a noble thing.
You are pushing through the barriers of existing belief systems in order to make room for broader, more accepting beliefs. People are still very afraid and want to defend the old paradigm.
If anyone has ever invalidated your attempts to uncover the truth – keep going, it’s a brave and necessary act as our world raises it’s consciousness.

Sex, Dating & The Expectations Trap

couplekisss

I was surfing around facebook one evening when I came across a comment by Berkeley’s “radical philosopher” Benjamin Smythe. It was in response to a guy’s question about dating, and while I don’t remember the specific question, I do remember the gist of Ben’s answer:
“If you are meant to have sex with her, the sex will happen, and if you are not, it won’t. So there’s no point in worrying about it.”
So often when we go on a date, we don’t go empty handed, allowing the moment to unfold organically, however it unfolds. Rather, we come “pre-packed,” with a head full of things we want and don’t want to happen. And so naturally when we are hoping for a certain outcome or experience and it doesn’t happen, we feel disappointed/let down, i.e., we suffer.
laotzuNow compare that experience to going out with someone and simply going with the flow. You are genuinely open to whatever happens simply because you realize you have no idea what will happen! Why pre-judge (be prejudice toward) something if you haven’t experienced it yet? Besides setting yourself up for disappointment, oftentimes when we come with expectations, we give off a “needy” vibe that is usually a turn-off. It’s basically saying, I need you to be a certain way in order for me to be happy.
Again, compare this vibe to going out with someone who seems happy and content naturally, and doesn’t need anything from you. I can tell you from personal experience that women are more attracted to men who are present and happy to be with them, then a guy who is focused on trying to get in their pants.
And the first step to being present is to do less talking and more listening. Woman have told me that sometimes men will try to impress them with all their worldly accomplishments, but when it comes to being genuinely interested in their passions and interests, the men will turn the conversation back toward their own achievements… as if they are trying to “one up” the woman!?
Another part of being a good listener is eye-contact. That’s why nothing kills a woman’s interest in a man faster than if she notices him looking at other women while they are out on a date. Bottom line: don’t do it.
Finally, I’ll share one last thing that I read in a comment section underneath an article on dating I read awhile back that I found very helpful. The commenter said that it wasn’t until he stopped “trying” to find someone that he met his current girlfriend. That it wasn’t until he learned to be happy on his own that she came into his life, and not before.
Those last three words really hit me: “And not before.” I remember reading that and realizing that he was right. That a part of me was “waiting” to be happy. In other words, I could feel that I had belief running somewhere that said, “I can’t be happy unless I have a girlfriend.”
And so, instead of focusing on trying to “get” someone, I made the decision to stop waiting to be happy and to just “do my thing” from a place of love and contentment. In other words, I discovered that the happiness and peace I had longed for was not in someone else, but inside me all along.
Well, sure enough not long after this I did meet a woman, and we are currently happily dating. But, like the guy said in the comment section, it didn’t happen until I learned to be genuinely happy in my own skin.

The Mother Of All Antioxidants

glutathione_benefits

We have all heard of antioxidants, but have we heard of the mother of all antioxidants? One that is the secret to prevent cancer, heart disease, aging, neurological issues and more? This single antioxidant has been studied in great depth yet most of us know nothing about it and  many doctors have no idea how to address the epidemic of its deficiency in humans.
We are of course talking about Glutathione (pronounced “gloota-thigh-own.”) This is a powerful detoxifier and immune booster and is crucial to a healthy life. Although the body does make some of its own Glutathione, poor food quality, pollution, toxic environments, stress, infections and radiation are all depleting out bodies glutathione.

What is Glutathione?

Glutathione is a simple molecule produced naturally in the body at all times. It’s a combination of three building blocks of protein or amino acids — cysteine, glycine and glutamine.
The best part of glutathione is that is contains sulfur chemical groups that work to trap all the bad things like free radicals and toxins such as mercury and heavy metals in our body then flush them out. This is especially important in our current world of heavy metal bombardment.

Where Can You Get Glutathione?

The body makes it, but it’s often not enough in our strenuous environment. Here are some food sources that either contain glutathione or its precursors to help the body produce more.
  • Broccoli
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower
  • Avocados
  • Peaches
  • Watermelon
  • Cinnamon
  • Cardamom
  • Turmeric (Curcumin)
  • Tomatoes
  • Peas
  • Garlic
  • Onions
  • Red peppers
Notice they are all healthy foods we often don’t get enough of? This is another big issue with our diets. We consume a lot of junk, meat, dairy and processed foods, items that clinically have been proven to be the number one causes of heart disease and illness yet we consume  them in huge quantities. The key is to limit these and eat a lot of fresh, lively foods that provide nutrients and don’t ask the body to perform a mega job to digest.
You can also increase your exercise as glutathione production increases when you exercise. Breathing and sweating are also great ways to get rid of toxins in the body.

Glutathione Protects Against Chronic Illness

What makes glutathione so important and powerful is that it recycles antioxidants. When your body is dealing with free radicals, it is essentially passing them from one molecule to another. They might go from vitamin C to vitamin E to lipoic acid and then to glutathione where they are cooled off. Antioxidants are recycled at this point and the body can now regenerate another glutathione molecule to go back at it again.
Glutathione is crucial for helping your immune system fight chronic illness as it acts as the carrier of toxins out of your body. Like a fly trap, toxins stick to glutathione and they are carried to the bile into the stools and out of the body. Glutathione is also powerful enough that it has been shown to help in the treatment of AIDS greatly. The body is going to get in touch with oxidants and toxins, the more we can deal with those the better our body will be at staying strong, this is why glutathione is so important.

9 Final Tips

Dr. Mark Hyman has given 9 tips to increase your Glutathione levels. Check them out!
1. Consume sulfur-rich foods. The main ones in the diet are garlic, onions and the cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, kale, collards, cabbage, cauliflower, watercress, etc.).
2. Try bioactive whey protein. This is great source of cysteine and the amino acid building blocks for glutathione synthesis. As you know, I am not a big fan of dairy, but this is an exception — with a few warnings. The whey protein MUST be bioactive and made from non-denatured proteins (“denaturing” refers to the breakdown of the normal protein structure). Choose non-pasteurized and non-industrially produced milk that contains no pesticides, hormones, or antibiotics. Immunocal is a prescription bioactive non-denatured whey protein that is even listed in the Physician’s Desk Reference.
3. Exercise boosts your glutathione levels and thereby helps boost your immune system, improve detoxification and enhance your body’s own antioxidant defenses. Start slow and build up to 30 minutes a day of vigorous aerobic exercise like walking or jogging, or play various sports. Strength training for 20 minutes 3 times a week is also helpful.
One would think it would be easy just to take glutathione as a pill, but the body digests protein — so you wouldn’t get the benefits if you did it this way. However, the production and recycling of glutathione in the body requires many different nutrients and you CAN take these. Here are the main supplements that need to be taken consistently to boost glutathione. Besides taking a multivitamin and fish oil, supporting my glutathione levels with these supplements is the most important thing I do every day for my personal health.
4. N-acetyl-cysteine. This has been used for years to help treat asthma and lung disease and to treat people with life-threatening liver failure from Tylenol overdose. In fact, I first learned about it in medical school while working in the emergency room. It is even given to prevent kidney damage from dyes used during x-ray studies.
5. Alpha lipoic acid. This is a close second to glutathione in importance in our cells and is involved in energy production, blood sugar control, brain health and detoxification. The body usually makes it, but given all the stresses we are under, we often become depleted.
6. Methylation nutrients (folate and vitamins B6 and B12). These are perhaps the most critical to keep the body producing glutathione. Methylation and the production and recycling of glutathione are the two most important biochemical functions in your body. Take folate (especially in the active form of 5 methyltetrahydrofolate), B6 (in active form of P5P) and B12 (in the active form of methylcobalamin).
7. Selenium. This important mineral helps the body recycle and produce more glutathione.
8. A family of antioxidants including vitamins C and E (in the form of mixed tocopherols), work together to recycle glutathione.
9. Milk thistle (silymarin) has long been used in liver disease and helps boost glutathione levels.
